The Lights of the Ozarks
In our opinion, we think the Lights of the Ozarks display is one of the most beautiful Christmas light displays in Arkansas.
The 2026 season begins with Light Night on Friday, November 20, at 6 p.m. More than 500,000 LED lights will illuminate the square, and the lights will shine nightly from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. through January 1, 2027.
The display is free, so bundle up, grab a cup of hot chocolate and take a stroll through the square.

Fayetteville Holiday Farmers Markets
The Fayetteville Farmers Market stays festive well into the holiday season.
The 2026 Holiday Markets on the Downtown Square are scheduled for November 21 from 7 a.m.–2 p.m. and December 5, 12 and 19 from 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Expect locally made arts and crafts along with seasonal produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods and other Arkansas-grown and handmade products.
It’s a great place to shop locally while enjoying the Christmas lights and atmosphere on the square.
Winter Wonderland Arts Market at Mount Sequoyah
Mount Sequoyah will celebrate the season with its Festival of Trees, and one of the highlights is the Winter Wonderland Arts Market on November 28 and 29.
Shop from local artists and makers for one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts while enjoying the festive atmosphere on the mountain.
Mount Sequoyah’s holiday festivities also include special events throughout November and December.
Community Creative Center Holiday Market
Another great place to shop for locally made gifts is the Community Creative Center’s 18th Annual Holiday Market.
The market runs November 30 through December 20, 2026, and features fine art and handmade work from Northwest Arkansas artists and makers.
The special Holiday Market Open House will be held on December 5 with hot cocoa, apple cider and snacks.
The Community Creative Center is located at 505 W. Spring Street, directly across from TheatreSquared.Â
Leslie Odom, Jr.’s The Christmas Tour
Here’s a special addition to the Fayetteville Christmas calendar for 2026!
Tony and Grammy Award winner Leslie Odom, Jr. brings his Christmas Tour 2026 to the Walton Arts Center on December 1 at 7 p.m.
The concert will feature holiday classics, music from his Christmas albums and songs from Hamilton.
The Lights of the Ozarks Parade
The Lights of the Ozarks Parade will circle the Downtown Fayetteville Square on Thursday, December 3, at 6:30 p.m.
The parade travels along East Avenue, around the square and north on Block Avenue, with colorful floats and plenty of Christmas cheer.
Pair the parade with dinner downtown and a walk through the Lights of the Ozarks for an especially festive night in Fayetteville.
Fayetteville Half Marathon
The Experience Fayetteville Half Marathon will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2026.
In addition to the half marathon, runners can choose a 10K, 5K or Fun Run.
This year’s course includes some iconic University of Arkansas locations, making it a fun December event whether you’re running or cheering from the sidelines.
TheatreSquared: Every Christmas Story Ever Told
TheatreSquared’s Christmas production for 2026 is Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some!), running December 10 through 24.
This funny holiday production takes familiar Christmas stories and traditions and turns them into one big, fast-moving Christmas comedy.
There are 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. family performances, along with an 8 p.m. adults-only evening remix, so make sure you choose the version that works for your group.

A Very SoNA Christmas
The Symphony of Northwest Arkansas returns to the Walton Arts Center for A Very SoNA Christmas on December 12, 2026.
The concert features holiday classics performed by SoNA and the SoNA Singers with special guest soloists.
There are two performances, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The Snowman
Families may also want to catch The Snowman at the Walton Arts Center on December 13 at 2 p.m.
The classic animated film will be shown on the big screen while SoNA performs the original score live, followed by a holiday sing-along.
This sounds like an especially sweet Christmas outing with kids.
