Batesville

You can’t talk about the best Christmas towns in Arkansas without mentioning the North Central Arkansas town of Batesville.

In fact, Batesville is known as the Christmas capitol of Arkansas!

They have millions of lights in the 35 acre Riverside Park that sparkle and reflect off the the White River. You can take a carriage ride through the park or walk or drive. They call this the White River Wonderland.

There is also ice skating, an old fashioned Christmas parade, and even a Ferris wheel.

You will also want to stroll down the main street of Batesville enjoying even more Christmas lights and beautiful window displays in the shops.

Searcy

Ready for your sugar plum dreams to come true? Visit the amazing Christmas town of Searcy during the holiday season. Southern Living recently named Searcy as the most magical Christmas town in Arkansas.

Your first stop should be the adorable town square where you can see the White County Courthouse. This stately old building will be festooned with lights and the entire square will be studded with Christmas displays.

You will even have the opportunity to take a carriage ride around the downtown area.

The Searcy parks such as Spring Park and Yancey Park will also be ablaze with gorgeous Christmas lights.

Bentonville

Bentonville is one of the most popular and charming small towns in Arkansas and it does Christmas right! The town square is absolutely adorable. It is covered in lights with a fountain and a tree right in the middle.

Just off of the square you can go outdoor ice skating at the rink at Lawrence Plaza.

The shops around the square are ready for all your holiday shopping and you will definitely want to stop at the Spark Cafe food truck for an ice cream or into Onyx coffee for a hot beverage.

Eureka Springs

Eureka Springs is always ready for a party and Christmas is no exception! This Victorian mountain town is decked out with lights and garland and there are more Christmas events than you can stir with a stick.

Of course the boutiques and shops are glittering and full of amazing gifts for every one on your list.

You can also enjoy the Christmas parade, find Santa at Basin Park, enjoy the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and participate in any number of other events such as the ugly Christmas sweater contest, the hot cocoa crawl, lunch with Mr. Grinch, and more.

Fayetteville is another Northwest Arkansas town with an amazing town square that is covered in lights. Lights of the Ozarks is the name of the event and after a Christmas parade the square glows to life each evening.

Washington

Washington, Arkansas is home to Washington State Park which is a preserved historic village. This is where you will find one of the most unique Christmas celebrations in the state.

The Christmas and Candlelight Celebration is held each year on a December weekend.

Blytheville

Paris

This is Paris, Arkansas for any readers who aren’t from our state.

Paris is a town at the foot of Mount Magazine and the Mount Magazine Scenic Byway. It has an absolutely with a lovely town square with a beautiful, stately, and historic city hall.

At Christmas this town hall is festooned with lights and the grounds are covered in Christmas trees and other decor. It is a beautiful sight!
