Yes, it is HOT in August in the Natural State, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some great festivals in Arkansas in August.

Tontitown Grape Festival (Tontitown)
This is such a fun festival with activities like a carnival, grape stomping, arts and crafts, live music and entertainment, and Italian spaghetti dinners. We love this festival!

Hope Watermelon Festival (Hope)
Watermelon are one of the premiere Arkansas foods and the area around the small town of Hope, Arkansas is known for growing the best and biggest of the Arkansas watermelons.
This is also one of the BEST and longest running of the festivals in Arkansas in August!
This fun festival celebrates all things watermelon with a parade, the watermelon Olympics, arts and crafts, live entertainment, and so much more!

Amplify Festival (Benton)
Amplify Festival is a Christian music festival that will be held in Benton, Arkansas.
In addition to well-known Christian musicians there will be practical breakouts for living out your faith and a gospel message.

Eureka Springs Jazz Weekend (Eureka Springs)
Enjoy a weekend of jazz at a variety of locations throughout beautiful Eureka Springs.

Gravette Day (Gravette)
This festival celebrates the founding of the small Northwest Arkansas town of Gravette. There will be a parade, a 5K, a car show, an art show, live music, vendors, and more!

Honeybee Festival (Pocahontas)
This is the inaugural HONEYBEE festival and will be held in downtown Pocahontas on the square! This is the festival to attend if you love all things honeybees and want to learn a little something new about these spectacular creatures.

Beacon Park Bluegrass Festival (Harrison)
This bluegrass festival is held in an RV park just a few miles north of Harrison, Arkansas. You can even bring your own acoustic instrument to join in the fun.

Mount Nebo Chicken Fry (Dardenelle)
This event has been happening since 1948! This is a fun-filled day with, as they say on their Facebook page, “chicken, pickin’, and politickin.'” The purpose is to raise money for organizations that contribute to the River Valley Community

Bluegrass and Fried Chicken Festival (Mountain View)
This festival is held at the Ozark Mountain Folk Center State Park in Mountain View. This is two days of mountain music with a fried chicken buffet!

National Championship Chuckwagon Race (Clinton)
The races are held yearly the entire week before Labor Day at the Eoff Ranch in Clinton. People come from all over the US to see the largest chuckwagon races in the US.
There are five different divisions of chuckwagon races, depending upon the size of the animals and the whole thing can get pretty crazy!
There is also live country music, vendors, equine and rodeo events, and more!

Caddo River Festival (Glenwood)
The Caddo River Festival has a car show, shopping vendors, a kid zone, a talent show, food trucks and so much more family fun!

FestiVille (Jacksonville)
A fun festival on Main Street in Jacksonville, AR. It will have rides, live music, a petting zoo and kids area, concessions, a 5K run/walk, water slides and more!
