Arkansas has plenty of haunted houses and haunted attractions where you can spend an October night being chased through dark hallways, wandering creepy trails and wondering why you thought this sounded like fun in the first place.

Some are elaborate haunted houses filled with live actors and special effects. Others take you outside into dark woods, barns and trails.

Here are some of the best haunted houses and haunted attractions in Arkansas for the 2026 Halloween season.

Creepy Works Haunted House — Conway

Creepy Works is a longtime Conway haunted attraction known for its creepy rooms, live scares and what it calls a little “Southern inhospitality.”

Fear Factory 501 — Jacksonville

Fear Factory 501 combines live actors, horror mazes and other scares in a large Central Arkansas haunted attraction. There is also an outdoor midway where you can recover before—or after—the main event.

Haunted Hotel of Arkansas — Little Rock

Despite the name, you won’t be checking in for the night. Haunted Hotel of Arkansas is a walk-through haunted attraction filled with live actors, dark rooms and plenty of jump scares.

Creepy Trail of Willow Creek — Little Rock

Creepy Trail of Willow Creek is an outdoor haunted trail filled with live actors, creepy scenes and plenty of scares along the way.

The Reaper Haunted House — North Little Rock

The Reaper is an intense haunted attraction that combines an indoor haunted house with additional dark and creepy experiences outside.

Royal Haunted House — Benton

The historic Royal Theatre in downtown Benton gets a spooky makeover each October for the Royal Haunted House. This is a fun one to add to your list if you like the idea of wandering through a haunted version of an old theater.

Haunted Houses in Northeast Arkansas

Chill Factor Haunted Attraction — Trumann

Located in an 8,200-square-foot building in downtown Trumann, Chill Factor features two haunted attractions filled with themed rooms, mazes, animatronics and live scares.

Horror in the Hollow — Piggott

Pumpkin Hollow may be family-friendly during the day, but things get much scarier after dark. Horror in the Hollow includes several haunted experiences, including a haunted forest, asylum and butcher barn.

Fields of Terror — Mountain Home

Fields of Terror has moved from its former Gassville location to Mountain Home. The attraction includes a large haunted house with live actors as well as additional seasonal events.

Haunted Houses in Southwest and South Arkansas

Reaper’s Night Off — Donaldson

Reaper’s Night Off takes place inside a large barn on a dark rural property near Donaldson—which already sounds like the beginning of a horror movie to me. Expect a maze-like experience filled with actors, creepy characters and plenty of darkness.

El Dorado Haunt — El Dorado

El Dorado Haunt is an outdoor haunted trail through the woods rather than a traditional indoor haunted house. The attraction is also a fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting the nonprofit organization Horizons.

  • 2026 Season: Select nights October 16-31, 2026.

Haunted Houses in Northwest Arkansas

The Asylum Haunted House — Cave Springs

The Asylum is an intense multi-level haunted attraction in downtown Cave Springs with dark corridors, live actors and elaborate scenes. They don’t tone down the scares for younger visitors, so this is one to research before bringing children.

Asylum X Haunted House — Fort Smith

Asylum X offers multiple haunted experiences in downtown Fort Smith, with live actors, immersive sets and plenty of special effects. For visitors who want to take the edge off the experience, they also offer an optional “monster light” that provides a little extra glow inside the haunt.

  • Location: 223 North 10th Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas
  • 2026 Season: September 25-November 7, 2026, on Fridays and Saturdays.

Nightmares Haunted House — Bentonville

Nightmares has been part of the Northwest Arkansas Halloween season for decades. The attraction is volunteer-run, and proceeds are used to support the community. The experience also includes the Phantom 13 bus ride.

  • 2026 Season: September 19-November 2, 2026. Check the current schedule for individual operating nights.

Warehouse of Fear — Siloam Springs

Warehouse of Fear is a large indoor haunted attraction at Riverside Entertainment with 60 rooms of sets, actors and special effects. They also offer a special no-scare night for anyone who wants to see the elaborate haunted-house sets without being chased by monsters.

  • Location: Riverside Entertainment, 17023 Chamber Springs Road, Siloam Springs, Arkansas
  • 2026 Season: Opens October 2 and runs every Friday and Saturday night in October.
