The Property
First of all let’s talk about the property.
Fox Pass cabins in Hot Springs has a beautiful setting on a wooded hillside near the Gulpha Gorge campground, downtown Hot Springs, the Hot Springs National Park, and Lake Catherine State Park.
Although there are a variety of places to stay on the same property the individual accommodations are private and somewhat secluded. In many cases you can’t see any of the other cabins around you. Every cabin is surrounded by trees and has its own parking area.
The Location
Fox Pass Cabins are located only about 10 minutes from the downtown area of Hot Springs. The main entrance is at 1287 Fox Pass Cutoff.
Fox Pass Cut-off is a road that turns off of Highway 7.
Once you arrive at the property you will want to follow the signs to your particular cabin. You can also take a look at the property map which will show you how to get to the different buildings.
Who Would Enjoy Fox Pass Cabins?
My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay here. We were able to experience both The Bathhouse and the Runaway TreeTop Cabin.
Some of the accommodations would be perfect for a romantic getaway and others are just right for a family or a group of friends.
There is something for everyone here! Whether it be a family vacation, a romantic getaway, or a solo trip!
The Cabins at Fox Pass in Hot Springs
Runaway TreeTop Cabin
The Runaway Treetop Cabin is completely private. This train themed cabin is the most remote on the property and has gorgeous tree top views from the hot tub on the deck. It is the perfect cabin for two people.
Besides the hot tub there is also a wood burning fire place, a nice concrete shower with unlimited hot water, and a sprawling back deck overlooking the woods. You will never want to leave this whimsical cabin!
Ol Kemp Cabin
The Ol Kemp cabin is a three bedroom rustic cabin that is perfect for big groups. There are two rooms with queen beds and one with two sets of bunk beds.
The master bedroom has a giant in room soaking tub. There is also an outdoor hot tub, a tree swing, and a fire pit. The outdoor areas are especially nice at this cabin.
You will enjoy spending your evenings cooking out on the grill, or making S’mores while sitting around the fire pit.
Hillbilly Hilton
The most popular cabin At Fox Pass is the Hillbilly Hilton. This one is so much fun! They say it is “A Little Bit Hillbilly, A Whole Lot of Hiltin.”
This is a place where you can sleep in a king sized bed in the back of a 1964 Chevy pickup truck! There is also a hardwood tree trunk soaring through the cabin and even a large and luxurious horse trough bathtub!
This cabin has two beds and can sleep four guests.
Dock Holiday
No, there is not a lake on the property, but this cabin does have a dock. Dock Holiday is a nautical themed cabin that is perfect for small families or even a couple who would like a little extra space.
This cabin has a hanging bed suspended with nautical rope, a nice rain head shower, a 16 foot tall real log fireplace, a huge deck with a hot tub and fire pit, and plenty of hammocks for relaxing.
The Dock Holiday also has a loft with another bed, so it can fit up to 4 guests.
Magnesia Bathhouse Cabin
The bathhouse cabin is the perfect place at Fox Pass Cabins in Hot Springs to wash all your worries away!
The Magnesia Bathhouse is a wonderfully romantic spot for couples. We stayed here and loved it!
The star of this cabin is the outdoor bath house with the 127 gallon copper bathtub! You will love taking a bath under the stars and enjoying the complimentary bath salts.
There are also cozy bath robes to make your stay even more luxurious as well as a beautiful stained glass mosaic over the queen bed.
Cozy Moose Cabin
The Cozy Moose is the newest cabin on the property. It allows you to experience a little bit of Alaska down south. You will enjoy the fun ambiance of this cabin.
It may appear rustic but it has all the amenities of a high end hotel! Like most of the other cabins on the Fox Pass property, The Cozy Moose comes with a hot tub and specialty fire pit!
It also has a red cedar picnic table and charcoal grill for outdoor eating. This cabin is perfect for hosting two people!
Lakota Luxury Tipi
If you are wanting something different than a cozy cabin, look no further than the Lakota Tipi! This is the 26′ Grand Chief Lodge and you won’t believe how roomy and comfortable the Tipi is.
This is “luxury glamping.” It may be a tent, but you will not be roughing it if you stay in the Lakota Tipi. There is central heat and air, electricity, a television, and even a small refrigerator and a coffee pot for your comfort. Yes, you also have a hot tub.
A private bath house is located just across from the Tipi for guests to use.
Covered Wagon
Fox Pass Cabins in Hot Springs has even more unique accommodations. Just next to the Tipi is the replica covered wagon. There is heating and air, and insulated floor, sides, and roof!
There is a queen mattress and, of course, a private hot tub for your enjoyment.
There is a private bath house located just a short walk from the wagon. Enjoy going back in time when you stay in this unique accommodation!
Redhawk RV stopover
The Redhawk is a beautiful, 31 foot Jayco Motorhome in pristine condition!
This RV fits up to four people, so is perfect for small groups or families. It has an outdoor wood fireplace and a hot tub. It is the perfect spot to rent if you love camping but don’t want the hassle of having to set up a tent!
