Eureka Springs is a great little mountain town in the Ozarks in Arkansas. It has a fun, quirky, and artsy vibe and is one of our favorite places to go for a weekend getaway. We have stayed in a number of different places in town over the years.

One of the things that we like the most about staying in Eureka Springs is the large number of unique and family owned places to choose from. These range from small local hotels, bed and breakfasts, and vacation rentals.

Although there are a few chain hotels you will be surprised at the number of quaint and friendly family owned lodgings in town.

Here are a few of the places to stay in Eureka Springs that we have enjoyed.

Great Places to Stay in Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Crescent Hotel

The first hotel that comes to mind when you think of lodging in Eureka Springs is bound to be the Crescent Hotel. This is the grande dame of the city!

The Crescent Hotel perches high on a hill above town and is also said to be the most haunted hotel in the United States.

They definitely lean into their ghostly reputation and you can even take a ghost tour and learn all about the spooky mysteries of the place.

The Crescent also has beautiful grounds, a gorgeous old lobby, a swimming pool, a great spa, a restaurant and bar. They are also on the shuttle line to downtown.

I will be honest and mention that there are areas of the hotel are a little faded. You might want to ask about rooms that have been remodeled.

Even so, the Crescent Hotel is a must visit in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

This is a photo of a statue/fountain outside of a hotel. The lower part is made of rock in a circle and the brick fountain rises from the middle. Rising above the fountain is a large metal crescent. Like a crescent moon. There are flowering and hanging plants from the fountain part of the structure. The Crescent almost appears as if it is floating. Edelweiss Inn

We particularly love the Edelweiss Inn. It is a perfect little old fashioned motor-type hotel. The Edelweiss is located about a mile and a half from the historic downtown and is directly on the Eureka Springs Trolley Stop.

This is important because parking can be difficult in Eureka Springs so it is nice to be able to leave your car and just hop on the trolley to go into town.

Best of all this place is comfortable and scrupulously clean and has excellent customer service. The hosts are incredibly nice and helpful.

Although this is a simple hotel, I highly recommend the Edelweiss Inn.

Arsenic and Old Lace

Arsenic and Old Lace is a perfect getaway for romance. This is a stunning bed and breakfast!

We have stayed there on an anniversary trip and loved it. In fact, we aren’t the only ones who like this amazing spot. It has been voted the best bed and breakfast in Eureka Springs!

The location is about 2 blocks off of the historic loop in Eureka Springs which means that it is both quiet and convenient. You can walk into town.

There are 5 beautiful suites at this amazing bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Tree Top suite which has huge windows and will make you feel as if you are literally sleeping among the trees.

All of the suites are charming and the homemade breakfast is always delicious.

Basin Park Hotel

If you want to really be in the middle of everything then I would suggest a stay at the historic Basin Park Hotel. The location can’t be beat for easy walking to all the shops and restaurants in downtown Eureka Springs.

This is a hotel with character and so much to do. There is a spa, a balcony bar and restaurant overlooking all the activity on the street below, a telescope for stargazing on the rooftop, and so much more!

This hotel also has a ghost tour.

Yes, the Crescent Hotel is not the only haunted hotel in town the Basin Hotel also has a few ghostly apparitions.

In the foreground is a cream colored brick building with a green balcony and a small sign that says Basin Park Hotel. Beaver Lakefront Cabins

If you want to get a little outside of town then I recommend Beaver Lakefront Cabins. The cabins are for adults only which means they are perfect for a quiet, peaceful, or romantic getaway.

These are luxurious lodgings on Beaver Lake with gorgeous lake views, sumptuous beds and bedding and all the amenities you might want. Everything is nicely appointed.

You will especially love having morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake! For even more pampering you can even schedule an in-room massage!

They are about 7 – 10 miles from all the major Eureka Springs attractions.

Check out this post about even more properties that we enjoy on Beaver Lake!

The interior of a room or cabin. The perspective is from the bed and there is a tray in front of you with two champagne glasses. There is a see through fireplace with two chairs in front and in the distance you can see part of a kitchen and another living area. There is a television above the fireplace. Pin

5 Ojo Inn

The 5 Ojo Inn is another amazing bed and breakfast in Eureka Springs.

It has been named the top luxury accommodation in Arkansas and it also happens to be the only “historic category class” 4-star bed and breakfast or hotel in town.

I have always admired this gorgeous Victorian building while driving the historic loop in Eureka Springs. It sits high on the hill near the Crescent Hotel.

Not only does the Inn have 9 rooms and suites but it also features 2 historic Victorian homes and two cottages. You can find exactly the accommodations you are wanting here. Not only that, but the breakfast is exceptional.

The walk to downtown is steep but fairly short. However it is also on the trolley stop if you don’t feel like making the walk back up to the Inn.

I hope that you enjoyed this list of what we consider to be the best places to stay in Eureka Springs. Enjoy your visit to this charming town and let us know what you think!
