Some of the most innovative and unique food in Arkansas is coming from food trucks. We love them! Here are some of our favorite food trucks in Little Rock and Central Arkansas!
Food Trucks to Try in the Little Rock Area!
In our opinion these are the food trucks in Little Rock and Central Arkansas that you do not want to miss.
Some of these food trucks do move around while others are stationary. We are not going to try to give you locations and hours because they are subject to change. Instead we will provide a link to their social media pages.
We suggest that you ALWAYS check before you go as weather and other circumstances can change the normal working hours and days.
Afrobites
Y’all this is a new favorite! It is not an exaggeration to say that I have thought about this food everyday since I first tried it. It is THAT good.
This is authentic African food. You choose a protein, then you choose a base. The base is different kinds of rice or chapati bread, and then you get to pick two sides. We tried the Piri-piri chicken with curried cabbage and collard greens as our sides.
Y’all!
It was SO good. The chicken and rice was spicy and incredibly flavorful! The cabbage and greens were cooked and seasoned to perfection.
Also, don’t worry if you don’t like spicy food – there are non-spicy dishes to choose from. Plus the owners are super kind and helpful as you make your choice.
The food at Afrobites is absolutely delicious and we highly recommend that you give it a try!

The Trident
I was so excited to try The Trident and it did not disappoint! They serve English style fish and chips. The fish arrived piping hot with a perfectly crunchy batter. The white meat was tender and light without any “fishy” taste.
The fish pieces were huge served with tartar sauce, malt vinegar, or ketchup as options for dipping.
The chips (fries) were stunning. Honestly these were some of the best French fries I’ve had in Arkansas and I kinda consider myself a French fry connoisseur. Haha.
I know that the owner spends hours every week peeling and slicing potatoes for these and his dedication to freshness shows.
The Trident is currently located at the Filling Station in North Little Rock which is nice because there is a shaded spot to sit and eat.

Maestro Taquero
I have to admit that this taco food truck is near my home and I eat here often. Way more than I probably should. But it is so good that I can’t resist pulling in there.
The only thing stopping me from telling you that this is the best taco food truck in Central Arkansas is the fact that I haven’t tried all the taco trucks in the area. But it’s got to be way up at the top!
I promise you that it is excellent and totally worth the drive for those of you who live in Little Rock.
The owners are dedicated to making sure that everything is fresh and delicious. They prep everything from scratch every morning and you can totally taste the care that goes into their food.
Everything I have had from here is divine. I really like the pastor tacos. But my very favorite dish is their birria. The birria quesadillas…oh my word! You really do NOT want to skip this excellent food truck!

The Dessert Lab
Looking for dessert? This is the best food truck in Little Rock to try!
Y’all. Seriously. This is the place for anyone with a sweet tooth. They have mini pancakes, dirty sodas, dipped ice cream.
I’ve got to be honest. I had never had a dirty soda before and now I am a huge fan. Basically it is a drink that starts with a soda (or for us southerners, a coke of any flavor like Sprite or Root Beer) and then you add flavored syrups and cream. So delicious and refreshing!
On the mini-pancakes you first pick a topping like strawberries, bananas, or pecans and then add a sauce. Yum!
The dipped ice cream has different topping and sauce choices as well. It’s all just so fun and unique and delicious! Everything we had was great and the owner was so nice.
This food truck is a must-try when you are craving a little sweet treat.

Becca’s Socal Kitchen
The focus at Becca’s Socal Kitchen is specialty sandwiches. Their meats and marinades set them apart and they are especially known for their pastrami which is brined and smoked in-house.
They also serve some excellent California style Mexican food including tacos and a Socal burrito stuffed with meat and French fries.
Not only that but the sauces that go with all these delicious foods are homemade as well.
I LOVE pastrami so of course I had to try a pastrami sandwich. I choose the Reubecca. Wow! This is a take on a Reuben with pastrami, pickles, string crispy onions, gooey gouda cheese and an amazing sauce.
Loved it!
Y’all give Becca’s Socal a try. Be sure to check their location on Facebook as they do move around.

Smashed ‘N Stacked
Smashed ‘N Stacked actually serves one of our favorite burgers in Little Rock! They are currently in a stationary spot on Pettway Square near downtown.
If you like a good smash burger then you will love the burgers here. They have various specialty burgers as well as a unique monthly special or you can build your own burger with toppings of your choice.
The serve skin-on fries which are also delicious.
There are a couple of outdoor tables that you can use to eat your burger while it is still hot!

Check out Smashed ‘N Stacked on their Facebook page here!
Thanks for stopping by!
