We recently stayed at “A Quiet Place Mountain Escape.”
This amazing resort is located just outside of the Ouachita Mountain town of Mena, Arkansas. I had looked at the photos from this place and knew it would be nice, but…honestly, it was even better than I had anticipated.
Definitely exceeded expectations!

A Quiet Place Mountain Escape
A Quiet Place Mountain Escape is located on 60 acres of forest in the Ouachita Mountains.
It is quiet and peaceful and private and just the type of place that you dream of staying when you want to unplug and reconnect with nature, with yourself, with your spouse, or with your family.

There are currently two houses on the property, although there are soon to be more.
We stayed at Evergreen Dreams but were also allowed to see Brookhaven Bliss which is the newest, beautiful addition to the property. Both are absolutely stunning and privately situated, surrounded by trees and a small brook.
Both feel like a dream.
Whimsical Decor and A Functional Kitchen
The A-frame style houses sits up on stilts and have huge windows and large porches to bring the outside in and soak the living areas in natural light. You truly do feel as if you are living up in the trees.
The furnishings are plush with rich colors. And the attention to detail is unmatched! Coziness and comfort seemed to be the inspiration for the furnishings and amenities. There are tons of soft blankets, velvet sofas, snuggly chairs, and plush pillows.
There was something magical about the way the whimsical decor brings a feeling of peace and enchantment into the homes. It was all a treat for the senses.
The kitchens are large and well-equipped with everything you need to make delicious meals.
Outdoor Living Areas
The outdoor living areas are just as well-appointed as the indoor ones! You have a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs as well as a picnic table and grill.
There is comfortable seating on the front and back porches as well as a relaxing screened in porch with a sofa and chairs.
There are so many amazing places to relax here!
Spa-like Amenities
Then there were the extra amenities that made you feel like you were at a spa…
We soaked in a wood-fired cedar hot tub on the back porch and then relaxed even more by sitting in the infrared sauna. There is even an outdoor shower at both properties.
In addition the bathroom has a soaking tub and a rain head shower, soft robes and fluffy towels. I mean, talk about luxury in the woods!
Amazing Bedding
Evergreen Dreams has a master bedroom with a king sized bed, a loft with a king sized bed and a set of oversized built in bunkbeds. The new Brookhaven Bliss has an extra bedroom and can sleep even more people.
And let’s talk about the sleeping. It was divine! The mattresses were SO comfortable and paired with buttery-soft linens and the quiet…it all combined to equal one of the best sleeps I’ve had in ages.
Perfect Base for Ouachita Mountain Adventures
A Quiet Place Mountain Escape is also a great base for Ouachita Mountain adventures. The small but artsy town of Mena is only about 20 minutes away where you can find some great restaurants as well as groceries and a Walmart.
The Wolf Pen Gap ATV trails are very close by, in fact you can ride your ATV straight from the A Quiet Place Mountain Escape property to the trails.
There is also plenty of hiking and biking in the area and you can check out the views from Queen Wilhelmina State Park!

Would I go back to A Quiet Place Mountain Escape? In a heartbeat. It’s comfortable, scenic, well-appointed, and completely relaxing.
